About Me

My name is Laura Hopingardner, and I started Sunny Day Petsitting because I love, more than anything, spending time with animals.

I grew up in the Austin area and have always had a strong fondness for animals. That affection for animals drew me to animal shelter volunteer work which I began doing in 2003. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats of my own and love spending time with them when I am not taking care of others' pets.

I also have attended UAN's EARS (Emergency Animal Rescue Service) basic training. I also volunteered in New Orleans briefly with Best Friends, after Hurricane Katrina hit in Fall 2005.
